Masks flooded the market as soon as the pandemic began, and we – a group of textile industry exporters (Emcee Apparels, Sreekumaar Texind Corporation and Dvintex) – quickly zeroed in on the fact that textiles are a vector for retransmission.

This meant that most available fabric masks were passive filtration systems at best. There was no pathogen-killing textile mask on the market. So we decided to design one. We created India’s first active antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial mask that uses four HeiQ Swiss technologies to inhibit viral activity and destroy bacteria on contact.
